Get Information for the Career Online High School

The Library and YMCA Educational Services (YES!) have partnered to make it easier for adults to earn their high school diplomas – online, for free, and on their own time.

The Career Online High School program is free to adults, ages 19 & older, who have successfully completed 8th grade and who live in Orleans Parish. Minors should pursue their high school education through existing high school programs.

Program applicants must have a Library card in good standing or be willing to apply for a Library card. The program does not require U.S. Citizenship or a transcript.

The Career Online High School program provides:

• A personal academic coach

• Convenient 24/7 online classroom access

• Special training focused on ten in-demand industries

• Tools for starting or advancing careers, including résumés and cover letters

How it Works:

Step 1: Take the Career Online High School self-assessment.

Step 2: Enroll in and complete a prerequisite course in two weeks or less.

Step 3: A YMCA Educational Services staff member will contact you to get started.
